Whether you’re looking for a romantic date night out with your significant other this Valentine’s Day, or if you are avoiding the holiday entirely and plan on staying cozy on the couch, we’ve got you covered!

We’ve put together our favorite romantic and fun things to do in SoCal with your significant other, best friend, or family.

Explore Art Museums

Laguna Art Museum: Self-Help Graphics is an East Los Angeles printmaking workshop and arts center that emerged from the Chicano movement of the 1960s. It was founded by Sister Karen Boccalero, who was inspired by the committed social and political commentary she saw in the silkscreen prints made by her fellow nun, the celebrated Sister Corita Kent. In 1982 Boccalero launched the Screenprint Atelier program, which provided Chicano and Latino artists of the Los Angeles region with studio facilities, materials, and the technical guidance of a master printer. The result was an extraordinary and exuberant flowering of the silkscreen print.

Hilbert Museum of California Art: The Magic and Flare of Mary Blair A showcase of over 20 original paintings by the brilliant Disney concept artist, ranging from her "big three" features (Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan) to her visualizations for the ride "It's a Small World"

Orange County Museum of Art:  Kathryn Garcia's- gone, gone, way beyond. Kathryn Garcia’s work is rooted in her studies of ancient and sacred sites and the ways in which historical feminist archetypes have informed human consciousness. Provocative and often interactive, her work takes a variety of forms including site-specific performance, sculpture, and drawing.

The exhibition title gone, gone way beyond is a quote from the Heart Sutra, a Buddhist text. Garcia’s project seeks to offer viewers metaphoric passageways to a place of greater refuge and, in turn, greater wisdom. In this work the notion of gaining wisdom itself becomes a form of refuge, which is increasingly important in the current climate of widespread political and cultural anxiety.

Spend The Day Underwater

Valentines Day Dinner at The Aquarium of the Pacific:  Spoil your loved one with a one-of a-kind Valentine’s Day at the Aquarium of the Pacific.

Arrive early and enjoy beverages from the cash bar with a harbor view on the rooftop Veranda followed by dinner in the Great Hall. Enjoy a chef-crafted culinary experience, a romantic setting surrounded by marine life, and the ambiance of the Aquarium at night.

Try A New Restaurant

We recommend Water Grill in Costa Mesa, The Cannery in Newport Beach, Texas De Brazil in Irvine and Playground in Santa Ana

Ice Skate Holding Hands

Ice skating is a great way to break the ice (pun intended) on a first date or enjoy a special evening with your special someone.  Check out Yorba Linda Ice

Grab some hot chocolate afterward to warm up, or head over to a nearby bar or restaurant to continue Valentine’s Day festivities.
